Jon Schulberg
Chief Response Officer

Jon is respected as an industry leader in direct response TV commercials, digital video marketing, radio, direct mail, web design and e-commerce optimization. His work has generated over $2.5 billion in measured direct sales for Fortune 500s, Series A start ups, emerging CPG brands in Health & Beauty, Housewares, Electronics, FinTech, Self-Improvement, Entertainment, Toys and more. 

Jon has directed and created over 300 commercials and has been honored with virtually every DRTV award. He is a two-time winner of Infomercial of the Year for his work for Tony Robbins & Barbara DeAngelis. He's also received industry awards for Director of the Year, Producer of the Year and Writer of the Year. 

He has directed film crews in China, Africa, the UK, Spain, France, Mexico, Canada and the jungles of Borneo. Jon's TV production credits include filming Muhammad Ali's return to Liberia to deliver food and medical supplies to war torn orphans, the Benefit Concert for the Children of Chernobyl filmed in Moscow and the Cable Ace Award winning documentary on the life and music of blues legend BB King.  

Jon comes from a family steeped in film & television. His grandfather, BP Schulberg, was head of Paramount Pictures and recipient of the first Oscar ever given for Best Picture. His father, Stuart Schulberg was an Emmy Award winning documentary filmmaker with NBC News and later Executive Producer of the Today Show. His uncle Budd Schulberg, was the well known novelist (What Makes Sammy Run?) and Oscar-winning screenplay writer (On the Waterfront).

Jon graduated from Stanford University with a degree in Film & TV He served on the Board of Directors of U.S. Home and Garden, Inc. (NASDAQ) and is the co-founder of the Relationship Resource Center; a non-profit organization dedicated to keeping couples and families together.

Cameron Dougan
Senior Vice President

Cameron is our Senior VP of Response Marketing. He has 15 years of expertise in direct-to-consumer marketing, TV and web advertising, plus an additional 12 years experience in publishing. His credits include strategic marketing for Guthy-Renker’s Proactiv Solution, the #1 acne product in America, Cindy Crawford's Meaningful Beauty, and Wen, the best-selling hair care product in the history of DRTV.

Cameron is responsible for all of SMW's creative strategy: from conceiving, writing and editing successful TV and social media campaigns to market research and product positioning, quantitative and qualitative consumer research, copywriting and e-commerce design.

He holds a Masters degree in Creative Writing from New York University and a BA in English from New York University and Davidson College.

Dany Sfeir
Chief Marketing Strategist

Dany serves as Chief Marketing Strategist. With over 25 years experience in direct response marketing, Dany is an expert in DRTV & traditional media, lead generation programs and customer acquisition campaigns, digital and mobile marketing strategy & web integration. Dany was the President of the Direct Response Division of Tempur-Pedic and is credited for increasing annual revenues from $30-million to over $1.1-billion in global sales. 

Prior to his landmark work at Tempur-Pedic, Dany spearheaded the marketing and accelerated growth for The Sleep Number Bed, NordicTrack, Jostens, and NutriSystem and many other leading brands.

Beth George
Executive Producer

Beth George Schulberg has been in the film and commercial TV business for 25 years.  She began her career as a production coordinator. She quickly rose through the ranks to become a development executive at London Weekend Television.  She then spent several years producing commercial parodies for Saturday Night Live’s film unit in New York.

Two children and a move to LA later, Beth joined production company T-minus 30 as a line producer and managed many big budget commercials for Coca Cola, AT&T, Acura, Hyundai, and Sprint among others.  She joined Boxer Films as Executive Producer of post production before rising to Executive Producer for all productions. At Boxer she spearheaded award-winning projects for Skittles, Walmart, Adidas, Toyota and Lexus to name a few.  Known for her keen sense of rising talent, several of herdirectors have won multiple industry awards including Cannes Lions, AICP, Shoot Magazine’s Best New Director and Shots Best Director awards.

Two years ago Beth launched her own production company called Mutt. She and her team of directors have created successful campaigns for Electronic Arts, Wellmark, AXE, Dove and Value City Furniture. In 2015, Beth joined SMW as a sister company bringing her expertise and team of Hollywood directors to serve the convergence of branded advertising with the evolving world of DRTV and Digital Direct Response.

Head of Production

Art is Director and Head of Production for Schulberg MediaWorks. Art’s illustrious career in advertising spans 4 decades. He has won numerous Cleo awards and worked with major advertising agencies including BBDO, McCann Erickson, Evans and Grey Advertising. His consumer brand credits include Disney, Toyota, Dollar Rent A Car, Contadina Foods, Playboy and American Airlines.  Art is a member of the Directors Guild of America.

In the DRTV industry, he is considered a cinematic Guru having directed more than 15 TV successful campaigns for beauty products and consumer goods which have generated over $700 million in sales.  He recently directed the million-dollar production of the Ninja Coffee Bar DRTV commercials hosted by Sofia Vergara.   Art is based in Southern California and works out of SMW’s LA production office.

Randy Price

Randy is a global digital marketing innovator, leader and forward-thinking strategist with 20 years of experience from P&G to Coca-Cola generating demand/ecommerce, driving customer acquisition, managing brands, achieving customer experience excellence that results in the delivery of financial KPI and economic ROI.

His performance driven media expertise covers all digital marketing types (Google AdWords, SEO, Website Personalization/Lead Generation Optimization, Programmatic, Native, Display, Experiential and Online Video).

Randy is an expert in ROI driven social media/content marketing and influencer strategies. Prior to joining the SMW team, Randy founded and later sold his successful social media agency which specialized in Facebook Ads/Instagram, Linkedin, YouTube, Product Reviews/Online and Brand Reputation Management.

John Stones

John is considered a leading authority on DRTV media management, telemarketing and back-end operations.  

Highly versatile and multi-disciplined, John is known for bringing complex products to market via online and offline continuity programs, optimizing conversion rates and maximizing the all importantly lifetime value of a customer..

Prior to working with SMW,  John served as Vice President of Client Services for Havas Edge, the world’s largest privately owned media agency.  During John’s five-year tenure he was instrumental in driving short-form media advertising growth of over 300%

Mark Gullickson

Mark has spent over 30 years in the food, consumer packaged goods (CPG), retail, medical and sports segments. Mark began his career with Procter & Gamble and Mars Inc. in sales and marketing management. Mark subsequently co-founded marketing services, medical device and natural food ingredient companies.

Mark has consulted to companies such as Virgin, Mars Inc., Time Inc. and Mitsubishi Motors. He has been active in a variety of entrepreneurial business deals over the years as a co-founder, principal, investor, board member, connector and advisor. Mark has sourced, sold, marketed and introduced products from the U.S., U.K, Australia and Canada in the U.S. market in the CPG category. 

Mark is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin and resides in Laguna Niguel, CA

Steve is a three time Emmy award winning editor and has worked side by side with Jon Schulberg for many years. He's supervised the editing, sound design and motion graphics for some of our most successful clients

Steve's TV credits and video marketing work includes Babbel, Harley Davidson, BMW, Apple, Informatica, Dell, Cisco Systems, Oracle, and other technology companies in Silicon Valley. Additional clients include Borland, Novell, C|NET, Pioneer Electronics, St. Francis Hospital, Founders.org, NEAT Company, Rosetta Stone, Humanity United, Resurge International, Hewlett Foundation, Edutopia and all of the major news and sports networks.
